In an ideal world....no mutts?

So, we all agree 1) irresponsible breeding is bad 2) breeding mutts whether accidently or purposefully is bad but...does that mean that in an ideal world, there would be no mixed breeds? That makes me rather sad...even though I agree with the majority here about breeding.
