Is there a way to tell if a dog has a fever without using a thermometer? When using a thermometer, do you just cover it and use it rectally? Is there temp base like ours as far as what's considered a fever?

What age to spay?

I have an 8 wk old JRT and I was wondering what age is best for spaying her. My vet says he likes to wait until after the first heat but I was reading that maybe I should get it done earlier. Also if I get it done before the first heat will she still bleed all over the place and come into heat?

Hey Glenda...I think you did right to edit, as the rules stand right now. I have always thought the reps here were a good and bad thing both. Has anyone heard any reports of problems with pets who ate Nutro Natural Choice products included in the recall? Polly was getting the puppy pouches on top of her Royal Canin kibble (she's really picky and it was the only way I could get her to eat) and of course what she was given was part of...

I was reading this list thinking I was safe, then I remembered I had boguht a bunch of the Nutro desserts and fed them to my guys.....I checked the site and they are full of wheat, I haven't seen any problems lets just hope, who know that when you buy treat to try you could be killing your dogs....

So here I am... posting my pictures on Flickr, and I receive a comment under my dog photo saying that it has entered www.flickrcombat.com/dogs , a competition for the cutest dogs on Flickr. It's sort of entertaining... discovering all those cute puppies, plus I get to brag about it to my friends...
