Posted to:
Training & Behavior

A book CM fans may find interesting...
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Finished Jan Fennell's "The Dog Listener" and thought CM fans would appreciate her philosophy. Her mantra is "calm and quiet" and she empasizes a lot of NILIF techniques that she bases on wolf pack behavior. She doesn't use Cesar's more physical techniques and I wish she...

Posted to:
Choosing A Dog
Yesterday in the paper there was a Chi for sale for $175 ..I thought it was really strange since they are usually around $450 so I called and was asking the lady about him. He was a short haired Chocolate. So since I'd been wanting another Chihuahua for the longest time I decided to go look at him...

Ethical Questions in Breed Rescue
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
We have a few local shelters and rescues that routinely tell adopters that the dogs they are adopting are "Lab mixes", "Terrier mixes", or "Boxer mixes" to hide the dog's true breed mix - APBT. I am anti-BSL, and have sponsored anti-BSL measures in my state. I welcome...

I'm trying to order some food off of Timberwolf Organic's site but everytime I get ready to checkout, it won't let me. It says my order must be at least $15 -- I wish someone could explain to me why I HAVE to spend at least $15? I just want to try a 4lb bag as a sampler to see if my dogs...

This one right in front of my house. I live on a curve, and people travel 55-60 MPH.My house sits back well off the road and my driveway is long and wide. I was having a garage sale this weekend, and instead of pulling in,a woman pulls up on the side of the road and exits her car.As she starts walking...

So I had to go to the Navy base to get new decals for one of our cars today. As I was walking out of the Pass and ID office, this man walked by with one of the tiniest chihuahas I've ever seen. She came right over to me, and I bent down to pet her. The first thing I said to the man was "Oh my...

I am so sad!
Posted to:

I made a dog bed for Beau because it would be cheaper to just sew one myself than to buy one (especially since I had a feeling he'd eat it) and I just finished it this weekend. It's huge - about 32" by 50" and it fits nicely in his crate and is piled high with soft and snuggly stuffing...
