Parasites and nutrition
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Does anyone know of any studies done to show a correlation between good nutrition and parasites? I had heard somewhere, I wish I could remember exactly where, that dogs who received better nutrition were less likely to attract fleas and ticks. I'm asking out of curiosity, not to start controversy...

Blame "it" on the dog? My other half thinks he can get away with this and it's just too funny. Not even Ben can stink up a room the way my fiance can LOL. Kate

My Rescued Cat
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
This is Motley the cat i rescued from the vets. She was about to be killed. We have had her for about a month now. She is lovely and has settled in well. She was supposed to be an outside cat because my dad is allergic but that soon stopped. She is so cute we couldnt keep her anywhere but with us.

Does anyone know if you can crate train two puppies in one crate? I think not because later then the puppies get bigger, one will have to move to a new crate. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Scout earns his first Rally novice leg

Scout earned his first Rally Novice leg today at a weimaraner specialty. He scored a 97 out of a possible 100 . He placed first out of all the novice dogs. I'm so proud of him. We would have an additional brag in regular obedience but he thinks sit stays are for losers. He went into a down during...

Aggresive behaviour at dog park
Posted to:

I've taken Boomer to the dog park a few times now. Lately he's gotten a bit aggresive with some dog that clearly just want to play with him. Seems like he gets testy with the bigger dogs (he's about 35lbs). How can i deter this type of behaviour.?

I was just wondering how old my pup needs to be before i start feeding him adult formula? I've always heard 6 months, 1 year, and even 2 years. I took Kaiser off at about 8 months, and he is still pretty thin (he's now 1.5 years) Also, i was wondering if i really need to be feeding large breed...
