I'm such a mean mommy. I made Scout do a 10 minute sit-stay at a farm where birds fly low and fast and all over the place. Poor dog! But he did really well and only tried to lay down once.
Mirana,
I took a workshop on rally about 3 months ago. It was fun and laidback. But other than that, we just practiced a few of the more difficult exercises occasionally.
Stacy,
Rally is set up so you have between 10-15 stations. At each station there is a sign that signifies a particular command. You have to perform the command and then move onto the next one in order. You are timed as well. This helps to determine placements if there are ties. So in our rally course, we started out with a fast heel, next was normal, next was a right turn, next was a serpentine weave through cones(up and back), next was a 270 right turn, etc...Its quite a bit of fun and you can talk to your dog the whole time, clap your hands, gesture, pretty much anything but touch your dog. No treats or toys allowed though. I know of one lady who does this with her doxie. I think she's passed all three levels.
