Their series of shorts called "Pup Grows Up" have been really a game effort to start young with the concept of responsible dog ownership. There are a few different ones...first the search and decision to get a dog...made by her PARENTS. The trip to pick a puppy that's right for them from a shelter/rescue org...the puppy's first vet visit and TRAINING class...etc etc. They are really on to something. I think.

I am not crazy about Pedigree being the sponsor but I am behind their efforts to educate the youngest IMO that's where it needs to start. My daughter who just turned 5 really enjoys these segments tho she knows most of the info already.

I shared this link/info on another forum but  also wanted to get the word out to those with small kids or those that know folks with small kids to visit the link and check it out! Esp if they're considering getting a dog at some point, or have kids interested in dogs....it's a good link to suggest I think [;)]

I can't watch it since i'm using Firefox, but, WTG Nick Jr. I really like the fact that they have a link on the site to help people find a puppy near them to adopt.

nickjr also has a spiecal on tv about a family that has a puppy named Fudge which is on the nickjr.com video and each episode has them doing different things with Fudge from feeding, training and ect. It has the kids involved in Fudges feeding and training. My four year old really enjoyes watching it on tv and computer.
