Let's see 'em! Two of these dogs aren't mine, but we used to dogsit for our neighbors when we lived in Maryland, and their dogs were totally awesome. DH and Conrad napping. I nap with the dogs at least once a week. I think it's why I'll always have big dogs: spoonability...

has anyone looked at the new bcs poll? how did usc move into 3rd ahead of florida? IMO: usc is maybe a top 10 team. hopefully/probably usc will get beaten at least once in their final 3 games. i think if arkansas can win out and win the sec, they deserve a shot at the championship game. they rolled...

Nail issue -- should I worry?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Last night when I was clipping Ace's nails, I noticed that one of his nails has something going on with it. It looks like the center portion of the nail, with the quick in it, is solid, but the rest of the nail is all splintered around it -- very flimsy and kind of coming apart, but still firmly...

I have to make my New Year's resolution early this year. I must stop going to the shelter. My monthly donations need to be sent via my husband for the tranquility of our house to remain. I also need to block Petfinder from my website. As many of you know, I went to the shelter last week to ask...

Why is milk bad?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Well I'm assuming its bad for dogs because I've never heard of anyone giving dogs milk. I know that with my mom's cats they get diahrea. Anyhoo my nephew was over the other day and left his glass of milk on the floor when he went to go rinse his plate off. We came back into the living...

My dog Shakespeare has never been a big fan of stairs. He does the back porch without hesitation, but lately he has been roaming the basement. Its not fixed up or anything, but it is my spot to "hide" around the house. Lately I have been finding Shakespeare down here. I dont mind him coming...

Docking, ear cropping?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I'm considering getting a Doberman in a few months. All the Dobermans I've met have all had their ears cropped and look in perfect 'show-shape'. Do all Dobermans who show need this done? Or Dobermans in general? What do you think? (or other dogs).
