Naming Question...

I like the name Motor. My two sound like little motors because they're always purring.

I think Motor is a great name! Kind of gives off the illusion of a boy name []

I love the name. I named my boy cat Virtue, but his nickname is "motor-boat" because of how purry he is all of the time.

LOL thats what I meant. I like the name Motor because it seems like it is a boys name. I own a Calico, and from what I understand almost all Calicos are females, which is why I asumed this []

DOH!! I must be getting flakier these days. I blame the upcoming holidays. I heard a rumor that many calicos had quite a personality. Does yours have an interesting personailty?


Motor isn't even here yet. She arrives on Tuesday and I have only seen her 2x.

Well I cant speak for every Calico out there but I can just say Ceci is... quacky. LOL

Shes a shy girl, and was never around small kids so shes not very into my son. Baby boy will here her little bell and take off running after her, on to crouch down and stare at her...no poking or pulling. Shes also a night cat, and sleeps all day (even when Im home) and around 9pm she is up and about, begging for food. While Im awake she'll just lounge about, but as soon as the lights are out she goes crazy.

She'll do laps all around the house, it actually sounds like a hundred mini elephants are stampeding about. Then she'll jump on the bed, pounce on my stomach lick my face (ouch!) and then she'll try to dig to China in her box.

Ceci also has some very doglike qualities. When she is really excited she will walk with her tail curled over her back, like a dog. She will also go limp and turn over on her back if she really doesnt want to be picked up.

All in all though shes a good girl, very sweet. She tolerated her collar like it had always been apart of her. She tolerates having her nails clipped, being groomed, belly rubs, and has never bitten or scratched, even when terrified.

Good luck with your baby, Im sure that Calico girl will be quite the star at your house!
