Diarrhea smell in carpet
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
My brand new thick carpet was diarrhea 'd on. I scrubbed it, used 2 carpet cleaners but the smell is still deep down in the carpet. I poured some vinegar/water mix on it. Still there. Fortunately, the carpet is dark color so I see no stain (yet). I have Natures Miracle but thought that is for...

The lab recently had knee surgery and has to be sedated and in a crate for 2 months, then for the next two months, she can be out of the crate and on a leash, only if the rottie is not around...

Porkchop bones
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
We had porkchops last night, and this morning we discovered that our 4 1/2 year old Lab (Morris) got into the garbage and ate the bones. I think he has an upset stomach because he just stands or lays around, although at other times today he was moving around fine. He also has eaten regularly today, and...

Roommate getting a dog?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Here's the situation that I have encountered: I have been living with a friend for a while now, and he has decided that he wants to adopt a dog. I currently own a 3 year old mutt, that is a very mellow, easy going dog. She gets along with most other dogs, but doesn't take to some, not to sure...

teaching a dog not to beg
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
My dog begs whenever someone is eating (regardless of whether it is at the dinner table). When she does this, I usually tell her to go to her bed. I act consistently, but she still begs whenever she sees food. How do I get her to stop?

Making me angry. Very angry.

Ziggy normally tells me when he has to go outside. Now he's abusing that power. He wants me to take him out, he does nothing, a minute later, same thing. another minute later, same thing. I really don't have time to take a dog out every minute. Any ideas?

Strange behavior...or typical adolescents
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Hercules is almost 7 months, and he has been acting kind of strange at times (much like I did when I was 13). So I am wondering if this is typical adolescent behavior. Here are a couple examples on what is going on: - He doesn't like to goto bed, but he also doesn't like to wake up in the...

She tried to bite me!!!

So, my dh and I adopted a dog a couple of weeks ago and she just tried to bite me. She eats everything and anything, and she got a hold of a used paper towel. I tried to take it from her and she locked her jaws shut. I let go and waited for her to drop and then grabbed it. As I grabbed it, she growled...
