Posted to:

These are the few lame-o pictures I took in Harrisburg over the weekend. This boy was clearly too stressed Jaime with our boy, Markie Mother & Son - Faith & Markie. I was giggling. Markie didn't want to share the ring with his mom so he wasn't being a nice boy. [ ] Poor...

Good morning!! We have recently (Day ago) noticed a very small (size of a nickel) bald spot on Dixies front upper leg, more the under part of her shoulder. Its not bleeding or raw or anything just no fur there. Ive been looking online for a bit now and havent found much except for "hot spots"...

Not Feeling Well, or Calming Down?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Hi everyone. Dweezil just turned 1 year old a few weeks ago, she's a Cocker Spaniel/Cairn or Norfolk Terrier mix ... She's always been a hyper doggie. She's been allowed to wander the house for increasing amounts of time, as she's housetrained, but we just recently taught her to leave...

my sister is crazy
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I need to vent for a second about how crazy my sister is. My dog comes almost eveywhere with me, including to my parents house for family events. My sister is somewhat afraid of dogs and has always been concerned that my dog will startle her daughter or knock her down. My niece is 18 months old. As a...

So when Leroi was so cute and well-behaved we decided he didn't need the crate because all he wanted to do was sit on the couch. When he came paper trained (from breeder) we thought it was great because he didn't go on the carpet. When he didn't really chew that many things we thought he...

Endorphin blockers?

This is something I've got to bring up with the vet, on Monday, when I speak to him. I'm reading The Dog That Loved Too Much, right now. I'm also dealing with a nasty fighting problem. This week, a crate and rotate schedule and a rigorous (seems that way to me, anyways, 2-3 sessions of...

How often to use the Gentle Leader?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
We started a new training class and Scout is a bit hard to control in it - lunging & pulling towards the other dogs, etc. The trainer recommended I get a GL so I can work on her training while having better control. Should I only use the GL at the training class, since that's the only time...

Chewing/licking paw

My dog has a small 'skin tag' on the top of one of his front paws. It has been there about a year, hasn't changed in size or color (same as his skin). However, over the past couple days, he started licking at it. It has become an obsession, and he has licked the hair completely off in about...

Janis peeing on bed
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Lately, my dog Janis has been urinating on our bed. She's 1 1/2 years old, half beagle, half catahoula. She only does it while my husband and I are out of the room, and she leaves a very large puddle. She does this even after being let outside recently. How do I stop this and why does she do it?...
