How to stop puppy from chasing cats?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Sophie is an 11 month old Beagle mix who has lived with us since she was 11 weeks old. Although we tried to introduce her to the cats carefully, all she has ever wanted is to chase and play with them. We keep her gated in the kitchen, and whenever a cat walks by she runs up to the gate and whines pitifully...

At what point will puppies start responding to training/discipline...
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I understand you should start training a puppy as soon as you get it home. But if the puppy is only 8 weeks old, how long will it take until you see any results, and the puppy starts to respond to the training and discipline? I'm thinking especially about things like jumping up on people, staying...

foods that cause diahrea
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
My dog had the worst possible diahrea this morning and I am trying to figure out what could have caused it. How far back should I be looking at her diet? She had some veggies on Friday. We haven't changed her food or treats, so I am assuming it was table scraps or the pretzels I dropped yesterday...

One fat cat and one skinny cat?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Here's the deal. For years I've been able to put two bowls out for the cats with the recommended daily amount of kibble and the kitties stayed at their ideal weight. Over the past few months, the five year old cat, Cletus, has gotten fatter. While my 13 year old cat, Kate is getting skinnier...

Hard to believe

I was over at a friends house. We were talking outside as I was ready to leave. The guy that works for the county ran the blade in the shop. His wife was there to pick him up. They leave in their car. My friend and I hear bones breaking. We look on the road and a dog was run over by the couple. Yes the...
