Mutt Puppy's age???

    Mutt Puppy's age???

The guy we got him from said 1 month old (clearly didnt know what he wastalking about, he was feeding his dogs garbage, after all). But Arlo has all his milk teeth INCLUDING molars. From the research Ive done online that would indicate AT LEAST 8 weeks old...

So if adult teeth start to come in at about 16 weeks, that leaves a 8 week margin of error...

help! is there any way to get a more accurate age on a puppy?

    thanks,
    shannon

Do you know what mix of breed he is?  Looks to be around 2-3 months.  I noticed with large breed puppies as they get older (around 3 months) they start to really dislike getting picked up like that.

A vet might be able to give you a better idea from looking at his teeth.

No idea what his breed is, mom looks like a border collie. He HATES being picked up all the time..he was NEVER handled or pet before we got him...i usually snuggle him closer, but i had to take that pic with my computer....and i didntwant to be in it!

I keep hoping he is older since he is SO bold...the vet here said between 8-16 weeks..gee thanks (this vet also cuts pitties ears SUPER short for fighting, so i take anything he says with a grain of salt)

here is a picture i took tonight so you can get a better feel for his size. I am still looking for other ageing clues!

    THANKS!

    ps still no adult teeth!

so the vet aged Arlo at 12 weeks, so in that photo he would be 8 weeks old (a month already! geez!) and said he would be about 80 lbs!!!! i SERIOUSLY doubt that! but ill keep you all updated!
