I just got home last night and I am swamped with so much stuff to do.  I still need to take my film to get developed, wash cloths and just get adjusted to this time zone agean.  Once I have more time and clear my e-mail of spam I'll post more about all my fun [:D]

Ok, I don't have a pic of my gift but I'll describe what I got... They are 4 metal solar powered  lights in the shape of a giant dragon fly. They were packed in a small boxes in the larger boxes.  I love them, they will go great in my garden.  Here is a link to one that is exactly like the ones I got: [linkhttp://www.loudfrog.com/itemdetail.aspx?detailID=63823]http://www.loudfrog.com/itemdetail.aspx?detailID=63823[/link]

Now here are a few pic from my trip taken by the dive instructor on my dive.  This was the funnest thing I did on the whole trip!

A reef shark, swam about 6 ft from us:

I really wasn't scared at all.  The instructor told us about the sharks before the dive and said we might see a few.  She said they are just like puppies and are just curious but won't hurt a person.  For being the middle of winter the water was really warm, I almost didn't even need a wet suit.  We went on two dives but almost everyday I went out snorkeling.  My BF's dad spear fished and caught a few lobsters for dinner.  We also had fresh caught conch for dinner.

The house we stayed at had a beach in the front and a dock in the back, it's on a thin slip of land just wide enough for a road and a line of houses.  My BF's family rents this house every year and is friends of the family that owns it.  There were fireworks on the night before New Years on another island just far enough away for us to sit outside and watch.  We woke up every morning at 5am and watched the sun rise.  Most of the day BF's family just spent it enjoying the sun as for me I was in the water as much as I could be.  We also had a couple kayaks that we rowed to other small islands and for the most part had our own privet beaches.  BFs Grandma and Mom stayed at the home and cooked every kind of yummy treats they could create.  I did not want to leave.

We stayed in Florida for a few days before going home.  BF's Grandma lives in a retirement village in Punta Gorda Florida.  It was huge!  There were shops in the village and it was even nicer than my college campus.  She also belongs to a yacht club so the night before we left we ate at her club, I've never seen food cooked so fancy.  I really have to thank BF's family for everything, they paid for me to go and everything else, otherwise I could not afford any of it.

Oh, and I'm still waiting for my pics to be developed, I'll post them as soon as I can.

Wow!  That looks like so much FUN!!  Sorry if I missed it, where did you go?  I ask because that water looks crystal clear!

Looks like you had a wonderful time.  And that dragonfly light is really neat!

Oh, sorry I didn't even say where I went...  I was in the Bahamas, the name of the island is Abaco and the town Marsh Harbor[:)]

Here are some pics that I took with my underwater cam.  I found out after I used it that I should not have used the flash because it picks up the little particals in the water and makes the pick blurry, oh well...I'll know for next time.

The inside of the house I stayed at, I was testing my camara to see how it worked before I took it under water.

    BF's Dad spear fishing:

This is at the blue hole, it's a small lake type looking thing but it's 250ft deep and is in the middle of the island.  The water on the surface is freshwater but turns to salt water about 50ft down.  Very clean and very warm:

This is the wall of the blue hole, I'm the one swimming in the pic:

More pics to come, I still have one more roll from my land camara to get developed[;)]

OMG! It sounds and looks as if you had a wonderful time! Relaxing & exciting at the same time!  Looking forward to more pics, the underwater ones are great... what kind of cam did you use? was it a disposable camera?

I bought a reloadable film camera with an underwater case.  It was a little hard to use because I had to guess at what I was taking a pic of because I could not use the view finder underwater, it was just point and hope I got it.

Here is anouther pic of anouther nurse shark that I saw while snorkling at a reef just off shore.  I wish I would have gotten the whole thing.  To give you an idea of it's size, the fish in the back are about a foot long each.  Most my underwater pics came out like this, I only got a part of what I was trying to capture.
