Lucy is obstructed
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I don't really want to write about it, but I figure it's best if I do. Lucy has not been feeling well recently, throwing up since Tuesday a couple of times a day. Bowels fine, not sure about food since she eats when she wants and we both feed her, and she has been urinating fine. Anyway, I took...

How many dogs does it take to change a lightbulb?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
How many dogs does it take to change a lightbulb? 1. Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb? 2. Border Collie: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not...

New Pics of Edison
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
It's been a long time, so here are some new pics of the boy, at 7 months old. He's tipping the scales at about 75 lbs. these days. I'm hoping to take a look at some of the other threads here in the next day or so, 'cause I miss seeing everyone else's babies.

Experiment and Question
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Ok, so tonight after dinner I took the left over veggies, a bit of cooked pork and some parmesan cheese pureed it in the blender, mixed it in the kibble for my dogs. You would have thought I cooked them a steak. Question one: Is this going to make them sick in any way such as diarrhea and vomiting,...

Anxiety related licking
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I took my dog to the vet yesterday morning, she started out with food allergies and I changed her diet, everything healed up except her back leg still has one sore on it. The vet said it was from constant licking and that she probably has anxiety. This dog is an anxious dog and worries a lot. She is...

allergies disappearing?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Hi everyone, My Bichon female named Holly has had rampant allergies practically her whole life. My husband and I have tested her (both blood and skin tests) three times for these allergies. Last year in particular, Holly was strongly allergic to egg, and also had severe allergies to fish, turkey,...

Something a Friend sent me/Joke
Posted to:

Just one more reason to be very careful out there... This new scam is being pulled mainly on women who are past the age of giving a running pursuit. What happens is that when the intended victim stops at a red light, an almost nude, good looking, tanned, muscled young man comes up to...

"Urine Blacklight"? Scheme?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Does one particular blacklight ACTUALLY work better than another to see & clean up pet stains? I've seen these blacklights in the petstore that say they are made for urine/pet stain finding. Does every blacklight work as effective, or are they different in some way? Thanks a ton! B.B

Gentle Leader Vs Halti
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I know they're built a little differently, but is one better than the other? Haltis seem to be less expensive everywhere. I'm not considering one for either of the current dogs, but I am considering raising my future (imaginary, breed not yet decided, far in the future) large breed puppy on one...
