"Urine Blacklight"? Scheme?

    "Urine Blacklight"? Scheme?

Does one particular blacklight ACTUALLY work better than another to see & clean up pet stains? I've seen these blacklights in the petstore that say they are made for urine/pet stain finding.

Does every blacklight work as effective, or are they different in some way?

    Thanks a ton!

I don't know for a fact, but I would think they'd all be the same.  I've never seen any difference in the ones I've owned.  Of course, I'm no expert.  [&:]

A blacklight is a blacklight - there is no special "dog urine blacklight".  And unfortunately they ALL work!!!!  Going around your house at night with a blacklight is one of the most horrifying things you can do.  You think you're clean...

Some black lights are stronger than others though.  If you hold it close up it does the same job.

Black lites are just that. No special Black lite for urine and pet stains. It will also show any body fluids in your bed or bedsheets.

Be ready to be totally grossed out if you get a blacklight.  I know I'm not the neatest person in the world but egads!  gross!!!!

Seeing as how my landlord's cat had this as Cat Central before I moved in here....and considering the allergy problems I had for the first four or five months, I can bet dollars to doughnuts that my blacklight search will reveal all kinds of evil kitty peeing.....my landlord has to relaunder his bedding whenever she gets miffed for whatever reason...

And my curiousity is killing me, now I HAVE to get a blacklight! Inquiring minds want to know!

Jeano, don't do it!!! ~LOL~  Ignorance is bliss in this case.

BTW, I tried an incandesant black light & it didn't work as well as a flourscesnt black light.

A black light is a black light. Prepare yourself and have your enzyme pet cleaner of choice handy.
