I took my dog to the vet yesterday morning, she started out with food allergies and I changed her diet, everything healed up except her back leg still has one sore on it. The vet said it was from constant licking and that she probably has anxiety. This dog is an anxious dog and worries a lot. She is a golden retriever and is very "needy" the vet says this type of dog sometimes has anxiety and will get obsessive with licking. So we left the vet with a antibiotic and anti-anxiety medication. In two weeks when she is put to sleep for her dental we are going to biopsy the site to make sure there is no tumor/cancer. Anyone with experience such as this I would appreciate input.
