It was their first trip into the yard and they had fun ... They usually just stay on the deck, so they got to test the feel of grass and sand (half of my yard is filled with beach sand).

This is WAY too close to home.....
Posted to:

This happened in Gary, IN, about 30 minutes from where I live. AC busted a dog fighting ring. They found blood soaked rooms, dead dogs, starving dogs without water chained up (it was in the 90's here this weekend), cattleprods, gear meant to tie two dogs right up against each other face to face,...

Hi. I'm new to this forum, but I've been reading it faithfully for several months. I think it's great. I own a 1yr. old neutered male red toy poodle named Dugan and will be getting a 9wk. female, black and tan Phantom toy poodle in a couple of days. My question is how do I introduce the new...

Registering and Naming
Posted to:

Hi Everyone! I'm new to the whole puppy registration thing. If I get my puppy from a breeder that does not register her dogs, can I register the puppy myself or is it something only a breeder can do? Now if I get my puppy from a breeder that already regsitered the puppy and I get all the papers...

Ok... I have just bought a young Kelpie Cross Shetie called Gypsy. I have previously had a Border Coie cross Jack Russell that chewed as a puppy. I know all puppies chew, this is thier way of playing but what is the quickest and easiest way of training it out before it becomes a habit? She is 7 weeks...

I am thinking about hiring a maid or maid service to come clean my bathrooms and kitchen once or twice a month. Here is my email to one of the replies I got from a matching service: We have 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms @1800 square feet. Mostly hardwood floors and 3 areas with carpet. I am mostly looking...

Is it true?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I am thinking about adopting a golden retriver/rottwieler mix. I was advised not to because of the rottweiler and that when rotties get older their brains kind of turn to mush and they forget who cares for them, etc. and will hurt that person to defend themselves. Is this true? If so, would the retriever's...

Should I worry?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Recently I have noticed that my eleven year old greyhound mix has been growing cysts or something on different parts of his body. About two years ago I noticed the first one. I took him to the vet and she said it was non-cancerous, but suggested we remove it anyway. Well, that cost quite a bit of money...
