This is WAY too close to home.....

This happened in Gary, IN, about 30 minutes from where I live. AC busted a dog fighting ring. They found blood soaked rooms, dead dogs, starving dogs without water chained up (it was in the 90's here this weekend), cattleprods, gear meant to tie two dogs right up against each other face to face, I guess to encourage aggression,

It's just beyond sickening. To top it all off, the guy who was doing all this was a Gary FIRE FIGHTER!!!

Oh, dear God! people are really sick, and will continue to be until we make the punishment fit the crime.

I almost said I hope they fire him, but then decided I should say - if they convict him (ie, find it is undoubtedly him, and it's not an allegation) then he should be fired from serving the public. Don't want to be bludgeoned for presuming guilt, but that is BULLcrap!!

I guess they have him pretty good. They found photos of him with the dogs in his house, photos of dogs strapped down being forced to be bred in his barn (I'm guessing the bitches are strapped down), a schedule of workouts going spanning over many weeks leading up to "Game Day," and dogs that had wounds that looked like they were from fighting.

"From what I hear he's only supposed to get 3 years," Is NOT enough in my EYES! It should be 3yrs per dog, living and dead for the length of time he has owned this breed and been doing this to those dogs. It is people, rather, SCUM like him that give this breed a bad name.

16 thirsty pit bulls chained times 3yrs per dog alive and 3yrs per dog that is dead for the last 7 years! That would be, 336 years +, which would be too good for this SOB!

"dog-fighting ring, many of his co-workers knew about it. " To add his co-workers that knew about it should be arrested also for allowing this to go on and NOT saying ANYTHING is outrageous!

This article angered me so badly I sent an email to Lori Caldwell and also forwarded this article to our local newspaper. I think if we all send in an email voicing our opinions about what is and isnt right with this picture, maybe this will fall on the right justice.
And to think they have not arrested him because he's on vacation is ludicris, since he is a flight risk.

What! They are letting him finish his vacations before he turns himself in that is absolutely STUPID! Things like this make me sick.

I sent this article to our local news station and also the United States Humane Society for their information.

I am so dang mad, I cannot see straight!

And to add life imprisonment is too good for this SOB. He should be chained at a tree and let him die without food or water... Oh wait, that is cruel and unusual punishment for a human.

Had they found dead children back there his butt would be yanked out if his vacation and horribly punished... I just wait for the day when dogs are recognized the same.

I'm sick to my stomach. There isn't a punishment on the books that fits the horror that this "human" put these poor dogs through.

People should hang him by his testicles when he gets thrown in jail.

You are correct Annie T. There isn't anything on this earth that is punishment enough for this dispicable, species called a human-being, man. It disgusts me people like this even call themselves human and my brother. No brother or sista of mine would ever do something so low to a living, breathing, capable of feeling pain creature as this so called human has done to numerous dogs at his hands.
And to add, his fellow comrades knew about it and did nothing makes me sick!
