Dog bones
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Hi, I have tried to give my dog bones as chew toys, but he gets the runs afterwords. I do not cook them and they are straight from the butcher. I have tried nuckle, marrow and rib bones. They all seem to upset his stomach. is there any other chews that are safe that I can give him. Thanks!! Mary Ann

Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Just for 10 minutes. He so loves being outside and whenever I take him out to socialise him in my arms it is obvious that he wants to get down and walk himself. He's had his first shots, will have his second in 2 weeks, I am not supposed to put him down on the ground outside until after that....

help - he is 7 months old and aggressive?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
My pomeranian is a shy dog and does not socialize with dogs at all. So, this weekend I thought it would be a good idea to take him to my friends house where he has a small dog that is faily calm and old. The second my pup came out of the car, he started barking and growling like crazy at that dog. I...

Adding extra nutrition w/o adding bulk

Nutrition & Exercise
I have hound whose weight is good, maybe even a tad on the thin side. He has been getting lots of exercise this summer, and I'm concerned that he may need extra nutrition so he doesn't drop weight. Adding another feeding isn't an option for us, and I don't want to just add more kibble...

Herding the screen door?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Is this Another herding behavior? Whenever we are visiting at my moms house and anyone opens the screen door, Lizzie will bark like a maniac and try to close the screen door with her paws (kind of like a digging motion) It doesnt bother us but why the heck does she do this?

I recently just adopted a 8 week old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler and have been trying to decide what kind of puppy food to give her. I first thought that I would try a generic brand (Iams, Purina, etc.) but the messages on this board about these brands have scared me to death. After searching the...

Hey folks, Well, some of you may remember me posting yesterday about a rescue dog that we were offered. We went to see her last night. She's a beautiful, 2 year old, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. At first we were lead to believe that she was skittish/neurotic and very difficult (she's been through...
