I have a 7 yr. old Airedale/Australian Shepherd cross - Ruger. He is a great dog, constant companion, well behaved, no bad habits... I moved into a new house from an apartment 6 mo. ago, and Ruger sits by the sliding glass window and whines the entire time he is out. The back yard is fenced, a half acre...

Are certain dogs for certain ppl??

I am having a horrible time attaching to my dog. I have one that I adore, and the other one that I am just indifferent about. What do I do about that? Everyone in my family is rather indifferent to this dog? Do I find a different home? Keep it and hope it gets better? I feel guilty and like a horrible...

Does anyone have any knowledge of chorine and skin issues? My mixed breed has developed an itchy rash under his neck-the only new activity has been drinking and sticking his feet in the pool--he does not swim in the pool. Thanks for any info. buck's mom

Hi, I'm new to the forum. We just got two new 8 week old cockapoo puppies. Right now they are eating Eagle Pack Puppy food (that's what the breeder started them out on). I'm just wondering what your opinions are as far as which puppy food is best? I know that Eagle Pack's line of Holistic...

Gross - Stool Eater

I have a 4 year old female lab who insists on eating her stool as well as that of my 4.5 year old male lab. She has done this for years and for years we have tried to break the habit. We have tried everything from commercial products (i.e. Distaste, etc.) to suggested home remedies (i.e. Meat tenderizer...

Help with barking at kids!

Lucy has one big problem - kids! I don't have kids, or know many people who do...therefore, she wasn't well socialized with kids as a pup. Now it's a  roblem, since kids will often approach us on walks and ask to pet her (I love that they ask). She immediately gets tense when she...

Oh man did that hurt! We had the dogs out on their lines and when the ball got thrown one of the ropes wrapped around my ankle and just ripped the skin right off, almost all the way around the ankle. It didn't bleed a drop....it's just ghostly white with a few reddish lines through it and down...

Reaction to a tick?
Posted to:

I found a tick on Cassidy about a week or so ago, I think, which isn't anything very serious, of course. This one was quite big by the time I found, and it was on the back of her neck under all her fur. So we got it off and I didn't think anything about it, but then I found a bump on her neck...
