I don't think its corn that has anything to do with a shiny coat, because most people are happy with their dogs shiny coat when feeding many of the other Eagle formulas that don't have corn in it.
Perhaps is the correct amounts of all ingredients.

Shiny coat and non-irritated skin has to do with the balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. All of Eagle Pack's products, even their Prism line, maintain a good ratio.

Hmmmm, that's really good to know. I'll definitely have to keep Eagle Pack in mind for my food rotation.

That was my train of thought too.

I was referring more to the balance that Eagle Pack hits by putting fish meal in the puppy formula for omega 3. There's obviously a lot of food out there that uses corn, but most don't add the necessary fish meal, fish oil, or flax to balance the formula out.

I've always said foods with some corn in it (down the ingredient list, not up front) helps put good coat on my dogs.

I fed Marley EP large breed puppy, and recently have transitioned him to the Holistic Large and giant breed adult food. He has a beautiful coat. I get compliments all of the time about how he is the shiniest black dog! I'm happy, because that means he's healthy! [:)]

I feed our Golden puppy the EP Large Breed formula (pink bag) and he's doing really well on it.  I'm trying to get him to gain a bit more weight so I'm mixing with canned right now for three of his four meals - he's loving it.   Ruby, my almost 6 month old Aussie, has decided she likes that food too, even though she was on the EP Holistic Chicken.  I have to give her a bit more because of the lower protein but it's working out fine.  People are always commenting on how shiny her black coat is, so something's working right. I have to say, EP has awesome customer service.  Danielle is always willing to answer, patiently, any questions I have.  She has even offered to send coupons to me (besides the ones on the website) to help with the cost of the food.  Nice, nice company.
