PetsMart or a Vet office?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
someone at my wife's workplace recommended we go to petsmart instead of a veterinarian since vet offices charge you per line item while petsmart charges you based on package deals. what do you guys think?

Will you vote for my dog?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Hi everyone! My dog, Noah, is in The Most Pampered Pup Contest for this month. I was hoping you could help vote for him by going to http://noah.digs.it and rating Noah a 10. He is currently in the lead, but it is so close. I would really appreciate your help! Thanks so much. You can vote once per day...

Revolution?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Has anyone tried Revolution? The fleas seem really bad this year and I haven't found anything that is working. I've tried Frontline and Hartz. I was hoping that Revolution would help fix the problem and I read it also covers heartworm and other problems.

Do I have a pre-aggressive dog?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I have a 12 wk old puppy that is really trying my patience. Beside all the "normal" stuff that puppies do...chewing, mouthing, potty training, Buddy is growling at me (sometimes during play, sometimes when we have both reached the "end of the rope" with each other), constantly chewing...

I've seen reference here that this is not considered 'good' food Why? I know several people, one who has a young 'champion' quality lab who has won every event he's been in, who swear by it. We use it for our guy and people always comment on his coat, physique etc. so what's...

My 6 year-old Jack Russell Terrier has had a history of skin issues/allergy problems. Mostly scratching, hot spots, and itching. Walking the puppy!
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
My usual walk with Duke is about an hour in the morning and 1 hour at night, (give or take some days). So far I have only been taking Daisy on short little walks and she hasn't come on one of our big walks. I am wondering, do you think that she may still be too young for a 1 hour walk? She is 14...

Solid Gold BATM Portion Sizes

Nutrition & Exercise
On my bag of BATM it states that 1 cup weighs 3.29 ounces and contains 400 calories. My kitchen scale says it weighs 4.5 ounces (after subtracting the weight of the measuring cup itself). So which is it? I just emailed Solid Gold and asked. I will let you know what they say. Anybody else notice this...

Who was it that uses a cooling jacket?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Dante has such a hard time in the heat. Being big and black, he overheats easily. I was wondering if there is something that I can use to cool him off? I remember someone talking about a cooling jacket, but I can't for the life of me remember who. Do they work? Can I get them at a pet store? Or is...
