I suggest going to the shelter and looking there, they always have lots of little dogs. You can get a sweet dog with a great disposition AND be doing something wonderful in adopting a dog! [
] Or maybe check out a pug rescue (or whatever breed you decide you want). I don't know if you are going to be paying for the dog or if your parents are, but to get a well bred dog from a reputable breeder is expensive and alot of people don't want to spend big bucks on a dog that will "just" be a pet. So instead of paying the $200 for the BYB pup in the newspaper, you can take your $200 and adopt a dog from a rescue! And you can probably find a purebred dog through a rescue too, if that is important to you!
I'll get off my soapbox now LOL Both of my dogs are mutts and Missy, my little dog, is a Doxen mix and she is the sweetest little thing, she just loves to snuggle up with you and watch TV![

Edited to add: You said you are moving to a new house with a small backyard... what are you doing with your Jindo? Those dogs love to roam and need lots of room!
