evaluating a rescue---opinions? red flags? UPDATED

Ole, after midnight by the front door. I figure he's either trying to trip anyone coming in, or he's being Big Meatloaf so no one can open the door. Very scary guard dog, don't you think?

Moose & Missy are having dental maintenance done today - cleaning, scraping, etc. They are anesthetized for it, so that's the biggest risk (I think). Just wanted some good vibes for good results & coming through no worse for the wear. Thanks!
