We finally got our PG1 title on Saturday! I wish I'd had the time or the strength to transfer the video last night to upload, but I was so tired after getting home on Sunday. It was a hair raising experience! lol...
Kota ran wonderfully with me through the whole course. I timed our route well for a nice flowing run that led us right to the beginning of the Gamble for a great entrance. I had my arm out, we were running and I cued "jump". Then I lowered my arm ever so slightly and he pulled off the first jump!! Arrggghhhhh!!! So I spun him around and sent him on again. He got the first jump, didn't see the off-course tunnel and went over the last two jumps under time!!!
We've been after this Q for a few months now to finish out our level one titles. We've entered a total of 10 Gamblers runs in P1 since 2005. He got his first Q in it on 8/18/07. Got his second in the next trial on 10/13/07. Then missed two of them and got it on Saturday. Whew! Now we can enter all Level 2 and hopefully move through it faster than Level 1.
We also Q'd in Snooker with 42 points. Would have Q'd in Jumpers but I made my front cross too wide and pulled him off, so he back jumped the next jump before I got him back to me. Standard involved a pop out of the weaves at number 10.
and a table set at 8" which he jumped off the back of. So no Q in that. Pairs was ok, he took an off course tunnel because I slowed down too much to get him collected, and he viewed it as a turn and the last jump was only about 4 feet from the tunnel entrance. But my pairs partner has problems with weaves, so after they redid them 5 times, we were WAY over course time. Oh well, next time. I entered Pairs just for a third, short run of the day.
So overall a great weekend!
