    A card for my mom

Recently my mom and I have been getting into handmade cards. To kind of branch off from just scrapbooking. So I'm planing on making my mom a card this year but I can't think of anything to write on/in it.

I'm usually pretty good at stuff like this, but not this time. I need somthing funny, not just the classic "Happy Mothers day" but somthing more.

If anyone can help me come up with somthing, I'd appreciate it!

    Thanks!

Sit down with an assortment of advertisements, magazines, junk mail.  And just start cutting out anything funny, amusing or "possible".

You can then pen in your own in betweens ... but by combining pictures of things with disconnected words you can do hilarious stuff.  Just using words off items right in front of me:

    "Hefty" off a plastic bag

    "Easy" off another ziplock bag

"Shape" from "Eco-shape bottle" on a water bottle label

    "Relief" from a Vicks box

"Mothers Day" from a catalog cover

Then you paste them all one after the other and say something silly like:

Hey Mom!  I've been hunting all over for something for "Mother's Day" -- most everything needs a "hefty" investment or promises to give you a gorgeous "shape" (with tons of sweat)  -- but here's "Relief" for my quest.  In fact ... it's "Easy"

    I LOVE YOU!!!

You'll get inspired as you cut things out.  Double entendre ... downright silly sayings.  It's cut paper and glue paradise!!

You might have some success googling mothers day humor. I thought of making a macaroni card for my MIL this year. Maybe a few different kinds and colors of pasta to form a vase and flowers... I thought it might be cute coming from an adult child.

Well, I made one! On the outside it says "Say Momma" and a baby is sitting there saying "Momm" and then it says "Remember Mom, your the one who tought me how to talk"

And on the inside it says "So don't blame me for the phone bill"

LOL, thought it was cool, and my grandma laughed too.
