Nikon in the snow
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
After the rat poison incident ( http://dogblog.dutchbingo.net/index.php?itemid=182 ) we needed to do something fun and care-free with the dogs. It started snowing hard so we took them to our personal dog park, aka a baseball field. Nikon LOVES snow. It's only snowed three times but every time he...

It's Pouring

I just need to vent a little. I know others are going through more than me with their pets. I just feel like someone has put a hex on my pets. Fist is Bubba. He started this with an abscess. We got that taken care of. Once that healed, he got out of the house & I didn't know about it. I haven't...

How to keep him calm?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
So Bandit went in today to be neutered, and the surgery went well. He's in his crate right now because I'm not sure how I can keep him calm when all the other dog wants to do is play. Not to mention the 3 month old baby Hubby is at work for another 5 hours, but I suppose if I have to call...

Memory has some strange SA
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Memory seems to have a case of seperation anxiety, which I just discovered this weekend. This Thanksgiving, we're visiting our friends in another state for 3 days, and we cannot take Memory because 1) both my friend and her little brother are allergic to fur and 2) their mom has a major fear of dogs...

Christmas puppies anyone? This irks me to no end, possibly because my friend knows these people and did everything in her power to convince them not to breed this dog. I mean, come on! This dog is not even papered. And Christmas Puppies? NOoooooo! She can't even be bothered to learn how to spell...

New Problems -- countersurfing and peeing when left alone
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Okay, interesting problems that I'm looking for help with. My dog Ollie has taken to countersurfing lately while I'm gone. At first, it happened when there was food up there that he could smell, and he would (sometimes successfully) go after it. Lately he's been surfing even if there is no...

Or anyone really. Kali started Daycare 3 weeks ago. She only goes Monday and Tuesday, but its been enough to make her sick. I kind of expected it, but I would like her to get better now please. She's not the "feeling badly" kind of sick. She's not feverish, or tired or anything, but...

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Yesterday was so pretty. It was snowing big fluffy soft flakes all day. Gorgeous! Of course, I wasn't thinking it was so gorgeous when I slipped off the step from my garage and twisted my foot! Time to get some de-icer, I guess. I spent most of this weekend...

Because someone didn't watch Ginger while I was showering, she ate some milk chocolate covered pretzels. I know milk chocolate is not as harmful as baker's chocolate, so would a handful of pretzels just dipped in chocolate be too harmful? I gave her peroxide, but she's apparently immune to...
