    Gah, the weekend gets better

Because someone didn't watch Ginger while I was showering, she ate some milk chocolate covered pretzels. I know milk chocolate is not as harmful as baker's chocolate, so would a handful of pretzels just dipped in chocolate be too harmful? I gave her peroxide, but she's apparently immune to the effects, as she's jauntily running around.

My vet is very pro bring everything in, so calling them will do no good.

She will be fine.  Try giving a bland diet for the next few days though to give her pancreas a break...

Normally, I'd say she'd be fine.  But, then I'm thinking how many in a handful and how much does Ginger weigh???  And, isn't she only supposed to have soft food??

She weighs about 8 - 9 lbs.  Not sure how many..10 perhaps at the most, and that is probably generous. The bag was nearly empth and there were a few left in the bag when I caught her.

She's supposed to be on soft food..and does just eat that.  She's stolen cat food without issue, though. It really depends on how well she chews, since things often sit in her esophagus for a bit before she swallows. She can eat small dog cookies, for instance. She also just ate her dinner shortly before..apparently she is a little glutton.

Thats a good point, Ginger looks small from your picture.  If it happens to be within the hour of her eating it,  give more peroxide if your concerned.

BTW- I cant tell when this was posted because it says 6 AM on 11-17-08.  Its only 12:24 am here.... Im confused.

It was about an hour ago. I didn't want to give too much peroxide..I gave several tablespoons and had no results

Hmm, sometimes it just takes alot, but then they throw up for so long when it finally takes effect.  Hows she doing?

She's perfectly fine today. Rummaging around as alwaysConfused

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier.  Last Spring my foster, a 10# Pom/Pap mix, ate .5# of chocolate covered pretzels.  After I calmed down, I just kept an eye on him.  It kind of explained why he was a little zippier than normal.  He had NO reprocussions either.  We lucked out.  I hope she's okay now.
