Well the NB fish and sweet potato, grain free, is still making Tootsie itch. I just gave Advantage on Saturday and she always gets it once a month, fleas or no fleas. It can't be the fish because she never had this problem with EP fish, so... I'm thinking Orijen fish. My question is: Do I need...

It just gripes my.....
...Ok, I went to a dog show. Natura had a stand - handing out samples. I get a whole bunch of the HERRING & SWEET POTATO FORMULA. I get home. Excited to see this fish food - I open it, the dogs line up and love it. I turn over the bag and LOOK at the ingredients. Yikes...they should call it HERRING...

Does anyone feed this food?? How do you like it? We just got it in at the store and I'm thinking of switching Teddi and Maggie from Canidae to that, or at least adding it into a rotation for them. I got a bunch of samples to see how Teddi does on it, since Blue Buffalo didn't agree with him at...

I would like your opinion on EVO food
It looks to me like EVO would be a good food to switch to now that Canidae changed for the worse. There is a warning that it isn't good for large breed puppies due to it's high protein levels. Morrison is now 18 months, do you think he would be at risk for anything? While we are trying to...

Satin Balls
How soon after starting do you see improvement in weight gain? Think I'm going to get the ingredients this weekend and make up a batch for Legend. He is eating much better now, but drastically needs to put on the weight he lost while not wanting to eat much. His thinness, coupled with the muscle...

Wellness coming to PetCo
Which is pretty exciting for me because no store (yes, I checked all the little ones as well as fed stores in a 20 miles radius) carried it around here. At my local PetCo, they do not have the Core series in yet but they are stocking the whole line little by little and should have it within the next...

so Yahoo! says Rachel Ray has dog food now?
this must be the new thing...very odd. What do folks think about this new trend, I am thinking no good will come from it...but I guess it worked out okay for Van Patten and Newman? ETA: Here's the list: Beef, Chicken Meal, Brewers Rice, Corn Meal, Soybean Meal, Animal Fat (Preserved with...

Chicken backs vs. leg quarters.
Which one has a better meat to bone ratio? I've been feeding leg quarters and now I'm trying backs so wanted to hear some opinions from others. Thanks.

Eukanuba Naturally Wild
Has anyone else seen the new Eukanuba Naturally Wild? They're selling it at the Pet Supplies Plus we buy Apollo's Canidae at. Well, today they were giving out free samples so I took a couple and gave him a small handful of the Venison/Potato. He loved it, but then again, he eats anything you...

Adding home cooked to kibble...
Is this a good idea? I have been toying with the idea of home cooking some of Jack's food. He gets one meal of premade raw (Steve's) and one meal of kibble. I recently bought a book of home cooked recipes for dogs called "Idiots Guide to Homemade Dog Food." Can I add the home cooked...

Kibble Protein Levels
For someone like myself who has 2 completely different types of dogs (speaking metabolism)...what's your opinion on the best kibble that can be fed to both? Buddy is a 9 year old Lab (115 lbs) who has a low activity level. Heidi is a 19 month old GSD (60lbs) with a high activity level. I had been...

Another Nutrition Question re: Performance Dogs
I consider myself a newbie in performance dogs. I am learning as I go, and this has me completely perplexed. I am 'realizing' competing dogs need to be fed differently (insert duh here). However I don't know what or how. Let me tell you about my concerns. This summer we started competing...

Stand for exam progress
I'd written about Emma having a real problem with stand for exams. Part of it is general terrier nature, and part of it is Emma weirdness. We've been working pretty hard on general confidence building. I've been taking her to work, every day. I've been opening the door, and encouraging...

Merrick cowboy cookout
Any Merrick cowboy cookout dry feeders? Was wondering the results (intestinal, coat condition etc). I'm thinking of upgrading due to coat condition etc. She really liked the sample we got.

Weight loss with grain free?
Charlie has always been a skinny dog. He is 2 now and the last time he was weighed at the vet he was 60 lbs. (which the vet said to keep him there). I know the leaner the better but I can't tell you how many times people has said "how old is your puppy" or they think he is a female or they...

Does any of you knows if Evanger's is safe to feed now?
I remember some time ago there was a topic about the Evanger's not having their paperwork organized, and so it was under investigation if their canning process was safe, or they might have had some kind of of Bulimia infection in their cans, but from what I know it was never proven, never recalled...

Beginning Agility Question
Hey all, I have a quick question. Riley was supposed to start agility on August 19th but I had to cancel and instead he'll be doing the next session, starting October 7th. I looked at the club's website and it says each handler and dog has to attend a preview. Then it says, "Dog and handler...
