    It just gripes my.....

...Ok, I went to a dog show. Natura had a stand - handing out samples. I get a whole bunch of the HERRING & SWEET POTATO FORMULA. I get home. Excited to see this fish food - I open it, the dogs line up and love it. I turn over the bag and LOOK at the ingredients. Yikes...they should call it HERRING & BARLEY FORMULA!!!!! It just irritates the heck outta me when I see this -- sweet potato is the SIXTH ingredient on the list!!!!!!! What are they thinking? Maybe label it - Herring with Some Sweet Potato. I just feel like I have been tricked or lied too. Here is the ingredient list: Herring, barley, oatmeal, herring meal, herring oil, sunflower oil, sweet potato, natural flavors, vits/mins. Actually, after you move the herring down a few spaces, shouldn't it actually be: BARLEY & OATMEAL FORMULA (with some herring thrown in)? Grrrrrrrrrrr. (I would love to see an actual fish and sweet potato formula again.)

What about Natural Balance's Fish and Sweet Potato? I do know what you mean though. Having a dog with allergies has made me super vigilant and it irks me too when the name is so misleading. Barley wouldn't concern me too much but sometimes they throw in chicken fat in a mix like fish and sweet potato. What's up with that? Hmm

Yes -- many years ago when it first came out I fed the NB, and I believe at that time it WAS Fish and Sweet Potato. The they changed it to Sweet Potato and Fish. Another good formula down the drain.
