Does any of you knows if Evanger's is safe to feed now?

I remember some time ago there was a topic about the Evanger's not having their paperwork organized, and so it was under investigation if their canning process was safe, or they might have had some kind of of Bulimia infection in their cans, but from what I know it was never proven, never recalled, and the investigation never continued. I was wondering if it is safe to feed Evanger's canned food, as it was what my dogs did on best, while eating it. Does any of you feed Evanger's. I still have three cases, that I have stopped feeding when heard that news, and which they were honestly eating just fine before I heard that news.

I never stopped feeding it. I've heard reports of people who opened cans that smelled really bad and they threw them out. I also heard somewhere that it was more than a paperwork problem, but I never saw that confirmed anywhere. It's easy to spread misinformation on web boards where we know some companies have ulterior motives. Since I never saw any FDA report that there was a confirmed bad batch somewhere, I continued to feed it and haven't had any problems.

I loved using Evanger's canned food because it was so cheap, but I stopped using it because, I don't know if it was just me but the 100% chicken smelled weird to me. Also, it didn't mix in very good with the dry food, so I use canned EVO now. It's a little more expensive though but I like it much better.
