Grain free LG Breed Puppy?
So, Ophira just turned one a few days ago. Currently, she's eating Innova Large Breed Puppy along with raw meats/bones/organs, canned food and kibble toppings (cottage cheese, sardines, yogurt, raw eggs, etc.) She's almost out of her Innova, so I'm going to be ordering some new food right...

Natural food for dogs?
We all know we should eat healthy foods in moderation and get plenty of exercise. The same goes for our dogs. *content removed, advertising*

Missing Link
A friend told me he gives his dog Missing Link supplement. Does anyone use this? I haven't done a search on it, just looking for feedback right now. His dog has a beautiful coat and is super healthy.

I looked thru the nutrition threads a bit and didnt see this...so if I missed it, I'm sorry...but did anyone see that the GDL is no longer using/suggesting EP? I was shocked when I saw this. Afterall.....she is my "Great Dane Bible!" However..... I just don't know...I really just don't...

Yeah, so chicken isn't great
Emma's allergy test showed no reaction to chicken. Now, I understand that there is more than one type of "allergic" reaction, and the test just tested IGg or whatever the stuff is. Anyhow, fed her chicken, she's chewing her butt off in the corner. *sigh* It'd gone SO well, til this...

Handling classes
What is the best way to find conformation handling classes? It doesn't appear that any of the local clubs offer them, and since I am new to this, I think there must be other places to look that I am missing.

Herding Instinct Test
Both my boys passed with flying colors! They were every bit as good as the Border Collie before them (with slightly more confidence and slightly less obedience for the "stranger" handler). Video of Nikon: http://www.vimeo.com/5554641 (Coke also had a video but it's slightly out of focus...

Soft Food
Sampson just had his teeth cleaned yesterday and the vet recommended soft food for a couple of days. I don't know what to feed him other than chicken and rice. I guess do that for a couple of days?

Acana Grasslands - others feeding it?? Finally
found it at a pet store I used to go to quite often but hadn't been out there in quite a while. Bought the small bag and am anxious to start it....hope for the best. Anyone else feed this to a sensitive tummy dog? Rivers has been doing great on Cal Natural lamb/rice puppy, but it is so hard...

Puppy Formulas?
Has anyone tried Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul? According to their site , some adult and puppy foods are the same, but additional nutrients found in their puppy formula such as DHA and antioxidants are important for development. Thoughts?”

Feeding intact males question
Luna's brother is visiting for a while, so I can work with him on show handling and obedience. He just blew his coat and lost all his weigh at the same time (seems to be the case for a lot of Aussies I know). Anyway, he needs to gain weight, and I am wondering if other folks find their intact males...

What can I do to make my dog a healthy weight without feeding her...
I just recently got Daisy. She was a kennel stray and when they found her she had worms. She was spayed last Wednesday. So it's pretty much been a week since the sugery. I got her Eukanuba Cockerspaniel blend dog food at the recommendation of the guy at Petco. For the first few days she didn't...

Rivers & back to square 1....need ideas....
Rivers was and probably still is doing good on Cal Natural lamb/rice puppy formula. However, he has one ear that developed an infection; vet put him on ear drops that contain a steroid. Now the guy has the pooies; can the poops be associated with an ear drop steroid??? And, I'm truly hoping...

Canned salmon = awesome!
Rascal has chronically dry skin/fur - nothing devastating, but never that soft shine like I would like to see, and dandruff problems in winter. I tried fish-based kibbles, I tried fish oil, I tried fish oil and vitamin E, I tried salmon oil, I tried cooked eggs, I tried raw eggs, I tried sardines. Nothing...

Goat's Milk
I've been giving the girls a raw meal on occasion. I'm still researching, but I would like to go to a completely raw diet at some point in the near future. I was pricing sources, and ran accross goat's milk as a product offering. Would this be beneficial to an adult dog's diet? Or...

Weaves Again
Belle is doing great in agility but one can always improve certain skills. I have a few weeks until our next trial so I thought I would work on our weaves more. She has greatly improved and at home is doing the side to side behavior, I want her to show me that at trials but more than that I need to work...

Adding Calcium to homecooked
Can I add crushed calcium to the pot as its cooking or afterward and then freeze it in portions? or is it best to add just before its served. It would be so much easier to add it to the pot.

It's a Double!!!
WOO HOO!!! Belle got her first double - double Q this weekend!!!! I am so proud of her! She won both her jumpers runs, and was second in both her standard runs. I am hoping to qualify for AKC Nationals in Tulsa in March 2010, she only needs one more double Q (now has 5 needs 6) to get in and she has...
