Handling classes

What is the best way to find conformation handling classes? It doesn't appear that any of the local clubs offer them, and since I am new to this, I think there must be other places to look that I am missing.

Your best bet will be AKC licensed clubs that hold shows. If they dont offer the class they will know who does. Another option is handling seminars and you can likely find those doing a search with the key words dog handling seminar

I know that some obedience training clubs do also. Usually if there is someone associated with the club that does it.

Also if you know someone in the local area or can make friends with them maybe they would mentor you. Joining a all breed club helps find these people or if you are lucky and have a breed specific club in your area.

I don't know where you are in NY, but Genessee Valley Kennel Club (Rochester) offers handling classes I think, so you might want to call them. Even if they aren't near you, maybe they know someone in your area.

Thanks everyone. I think the hardest part might be finding folks who use R+ methods. I will start calling around!
