    Adding Calcium to homecooked

Can I add crushed calcium to the pot as its cooking or afterward and then freeze it in portions?  or is it best to add just before its served.  It would be so much easier to add it to the pot.

I don't add mine "hot" but I do add it to the general pot after it's cooled and before I put it in containers.

I know what you mean; I homecook for Jessie and after the mixture's cooled it's hard to stir. The recipe I use is from Monica Segal and you can add the calcium to the food after its cooled before freezing, but not while it's hot; sorry.

If you have a recipe, follow it, but there is no harm in adding a calcium source during cooking. Calcium is a mineral and not affected by heat.

Yay!  That's what I was hoping for Becca!  Thanks all!
