Ingrown Eyelid Hair - Has anyone had this happen to their dog?
I have a Shih-Tzu, 4.5 years old. At the vet today, the doc said that his eyelid hair had gotten under his eye and was growing across the eye rather than downward. She referred us to an opthamologist and said he'd probably need surgery to remove the hair follicles. This is happening in both eyes...

Can anyone give me info on Clavamox?
Pup is now almost 3 months old and he is still battling kennel cough. He seemed to get over it for about 1 week and then it came back. Anyway, the 1st time he was put on an antibiotic and Hydrocodone for cough. He was breathing extremely fast and after 3 days of this I stopped all the meds. Today, another...

Dry skin and dandruff flakes
Lady is a black lab mix and she has the most shiniest coat ever....but when i bring her for a walk, she has dandruff flakes all around her choke collar and down her neck. I understand that the choke collar rubbs the skin but is there a way or shampoo or something that can stop the flakes?

My Chihuahua puppy seems sick possibly
He keeps doing this hiccuplike thing that sorta looks like he is trying to vomit and it sounds really wierd. I dunno what's wrong if it's not the hiccups as it's something I have never seen before.

Somethings CRACKING???
I don't understand, when Keva stands in one position or lays n one position for a while she cracks when she moves? I don't know exactly what's cracking I think it might be toes or knees on her back legs. I try not to be too paranoid but I am kinda worried. She really shouldn't be cracking...

itching himself to death!
First off, hi everyone! New to this forum, but not new to dogs. I currently have two mixed breed pups that I adopted - one from a shelter, one from a foster home. My little girl, Karma, is a 2.5 yr old greyhound/lab mix and my boy, Buddha, is a 1.5 year old newfoundland/lab/springer spaniel mix (we actually...

Oye!!! Will it EVER end...
OK, took all six dogs out for a really good brushing this morning. I use the funky rubber brush that you use backwards on the fur, then follow up with a slicker. Left everyone outside so I could defur the house...did the rubber glove threatment and vacummed all the furniture, carpets, etc and then put...

My sister's pup might have diabetes..
We had been noticing that Willow (7mo JRT) had been drinking water and going to the bathroom way too frequently. So we went to the vet yesterday to get some tests done for diabetes. Has anyone ever dealt with a dog with this condition? Poor little girl...[ ]

k9 advantix vs biospot?
If K9 advantix doesn't repel fleas how effective is it? My vet recommended it because we go camping, and want to take Peyton with us and it repels ticks and mosquitoes. The only product that repels all is biospot. Any advice?

allergy to frontline?
Hi all, We've had our dog, Nora (a rescue), for about 7 months now...they said she was "about two" when we got her. First, she had several bad seizures, so she went on phenobarbital. Then, she developed demodectic mange, so she went on a daily dose of ivermectin. We had gotten both...

Dry nose.
[8|] I have a lovely six year old Cocker Spaniel with a dry nose. Vet has diagnosed as chronic rhinitis and I have tried every antibiotic, steriod and mouth wash she has suggested. Each new drug brings minimal improvement and then right back to square 1 as soon as the course of tablets ends. Symptoms...

Cleft Palate Bilateral
I am a vet tech student and we adopted a cat that was pregnant from an otherwise terrible fate. She was in really bad condition (I will spare you the details) but otherwise may not have made it. We all took turns caring for her and my turn was this weekend...the weekend she was due! Sure enough I...

Why is my puppy itching so bad?
On Monday we brought Cedar home who is at that time was a 7 week old golden. He showed no signs of itching other than him not liking his collar. Yesterday he started to scratch and bite all over his skin. Not just a little but a lot. I gave him a bath and that seemed to help a little. Last night...
