" I was wondering if raw meat was indeed the culprit for those pesky tapes, does freezing the meet prior to feeding kill them?  I was thinking along the same lines of sushi.  Freeze first, that way no chance of eating live worms anyway. Eeww...  Jules "

Freezing the meat probably does kill the tapeworms; I know that in order to kill another parasite, toxoplasmosis, you have to freeze meat at ten degrees faranheit or lower. I don't feed raw meat but I do give Jessie shank and soup bones with some meat on them, so I always freeze the bones first. That tip about dogs getting tapes from poop is a good one.[align=right]
