He's been eating Costco "Kirkland" brand pet foods and Chicken Soup Brand Dog Food and i noticed this is related to Diamond dog food somehow and they just had a recent recall due to 23 dogs dying from eating their dog food. Seeing my dog have seizures was scary. I dont want it to happen...

maltese--congestion after spay operation
Hi, I have a Maltese we rescued (unsure of how old she was at that time). We recently got her spayed, and since then, she's had fairly severe congestion...she is snorting so deeply that I sometimes worry she is having trouble breathing. I am under the impression that Maltese in general have breathing...

Nemo is back to his normal self!
Today he is feisty and playful, eating like a little piggy and he has put on some weight! He looks great and I am so happy that my furboy made a full recovery. The vet still doesnt know what it was though. I hope we never see that illness again! Thank you to everyone who prayed for Nemo and sent good...

Petsilk
I am looking for feedback on the different Petsilk scents, if any of you use it. I bought the deep cleansing shampoo and I was SO happy with the results (clean, silky and very shiny dog) BUT I just hated the way it smelled. I also have the Petsilk Coat Control and I like that smell, so I know it's...

Frontline Usage...
I gave Sally a dosage of Frintline today. It turns out that 30 days from now we will be on vacation and she will be boarded at the vets. Can I give her another dosage a couple of days early, or should I have the vet give her one? I'm afriad that if I wait too long after the 30 day mark she will get...

Need quick answer - panting/hot dog
We have 2 dogs, both Rhodesian Ridgeback mixes. The male is more pure than the female who is a Rhodesian/Pit mix. We noticed a problem, or at least we think its a problem, the other night with her. She was having a chew toy, both of them were, and she growled when we came near her. This is an absolute...

antihistamines
What is everyone's opinion on antihistamines for dogs. My vet put my dog on Hydroxyzine 25mg up to twice a day. He is currently being treated for his 2nd ear infection and he has a small amount of inflammation in both eyes. She thinks it's allergy related. Are antihistamines safe for dogs? Does...

shampoo & conditioner for itchy dogs
Can anyone recommend a good shampoo and soothing conditioner for a cocker spaniel who is always itchy and has lots of allergies. I currently use the one at Petsmart in their grooming department, organic oatmeal. Is there anything better?

There is a black cloud hovering over us!
[X(]Good grief. Nothing is EVER wrong with my dogs, now all of a sudden, it is like a train wreck here. We were out walking tonight and Ziggy, my oldest Tzu, age 3, stepped on something and started crying and wimpering, and dancing around. I, of course, freaked out, and saw a spider on the ground near...

Shih Tzu Still sick, need advice
My 2 1/2 year old Shih Tzu, Nemo, has been sick going on two weeks now. It all started with vomiting and apparently very upset tummy as he wimpered all night. Next day, he slept most of the day. During the first part of last week, the vomiting was down and he appeared to be doing better. Then this past...

pink & puffy cheek
My puppy, Gracie, has developed some sort of irritation on her cheek...I guess that's what it's called. It's where her whiskers come out above her mouth. Anyway, I noticed the beginning of this week that it was pink so I've been watching it. Today it feels kind of hot and it's a little...

Lips
Rupert has had this on his lips since he was a pup. I had asked the vet about it when he was a puppy, and the vet said it was probably from chewing. I believed him at first, but it never went away. Do you think it is some kind of fungus? Could it be related to his irritated paws?

zsrg;lb ksr'pfjsoprej...
We just tried a new shampoo!
Rory always seems to find herself rustling through bushes, getting scratched by sand, dirt and branches leacing her tummy and undercarriage scratched and irritated. She accumulates bug bites playing in the woods and I noticed a lot of shampoos dry her out, leaves a residue no matter how well we rinse...
