So, maybe I'll start at half of that for Em. I'm so happy that you've finally found something that works for Alley! I've been doing apple cider vinegar rinses on Emma, and not having to use any benedryll. If I can find some sort of supplement that helps, maybe I won't have to bathe her so often....

I think we need Alley pictures to fully celebrate her victory.

IF I new how to post Alley pictures I would...LOL

Still no itching....HOLY COW.....I still want my money back for the past 4 years Iv spent on her... heck I could go to hawaii for 2 weeks easily....LOL

Im seeing my Holistic vet today with my Westie girl .....I can't wait to tell yet yet again how GREAT she is doing....

I understand all the rinses.... Iv done them all from black tea to you name it... NOTHING WORKED and I mean nothing.....

Again I am going to call the speciality clinic I use to go to if this continues and let them know how simple of a solution we finally found for her....

ACV has been the best thing for Em, so far. Tea tree works, a little bit, but doesn't help the itching much. I'm sure it helps her demodex, but we aren't having problems with that lately. I was going to try lavendar, next. I've done chamomile, black tea, etc etc. Stained my tub and the dog still itched. LOL I'm sure you've been THERE!

I'm *so* glad that Alley is finally relieved. It's too bad you can't go back a few years and start giving her the zinc, then, and save you both the energy and money. I'm sure you could buy a mighty fancy dog bed, for the price of ONE dermatologist visit.... That's why I haven't gone, yet, LOL.

Iv had enough of all that stuff to last me a life time...LOL Yip done it all and she continued to itch... and tea tree oil about put her over the edge....

Remember Alley was a demodex dog when I got her....so Im thinking maybe Zinc might work for you guys. I saw my holistic vet yesterday and we don't even want to speak of this cause we are both afraid when the other shoe will drop....LOL
I will add this... Alleys tummy seems to be a bit upset by the zinc so we are going 1/2 with the dose till it calms down a bit.... so this is why Its important to watch this stuff. I noticed Alley eating alot of grass and she got urpy yesterday....

IF this continues for a month she is going to do a formal documentation of this case cause the  Zinc deficinate demotosis doesn't usually run in this breed. Now I will make sure Im telling this part right on the diagnoses....LOL I got distracted yesterday with my Westie girl... she has some issues Im going to work on... My Mattie has Anxiety attack issues when something is on her....... so Im contacting a pet communicator that is local. This lady came along yesterday before our apt with another pet owner of a Scottie that has bladder cancer and the scottie wouldn't tolerate the needles for accuputure and would try to bite and get really mean!! So the pet communicator communicates with her during the treatment and she is doing wonderful and doesn't try to bite anyone and now relaxes....

So this is a completely different topic.....LOL But Iv alway used a communicator in CA. Lydia Hiby... Her book is fasicinating on how to talk to animals. She has helped me alot with my dogs. I think its a great book for anyone to read.
