Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Hi everyone, I went to intergroom (grooming seminar) this weekend, and got a peek at the state of the art grooming vans that are available. I've been doing mobile grooming for about a year now and absolutely love it. What I love better is the idea of starting my own business. I've submitted...

Revolution and red droopy ear?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My dog has been on Sentinel for 3 years. We just switched to a new vet (we've moved a lot) and new vet didn't sell sentinel, didn't like sentinel, and recommended revolution. My husband was frustrated, but I liked the fact that it worked on ticks, which are bad here, so we bought 3 months...

Really dry nose... sick?
Posted to:

My boxer's nose is really dry, so dry that the top looks cracked, but not bleeding. I moved to a new apartment about a month ago and her skin has been really dry since then. Does anyone know what it means when your dogs nose is really dry? I thought it was supposed to be wet all the time. Any...

the new guy is a little stinky. is this possibly due to him not being neutered yet? he also tries constantly to get outside, will neutering possibly chill him out a bit? thanks.

digging

does anyone have any recommendations to deter my 5 month old from digging? he is digging holes in the yard and then re-digging where we have put top soil and seed. He is not burying anything, just digging for the sake of digging it seems! Any behavior mod you can think of? Any thing I can put on/in the...

Please help. Older dog with high calcium
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My beloved dog who is 14 has had excessive thirst and hunger lately. He was found to have high calcium levels. The vet said it may possibly be due to a parathyroid tumor or lymphoma. He is an active and happy guy. Anyone have experience with this? If it is a benign parathyroid tumor, would it be worth...

Clean Ears
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
How clean do their ears need to be? I wipe our Wes's ears with a damp paper towel/ear wipe from the pet store, but I can't seem to get rid of all the gunk... It is not that there is so much, rather that there is just a little, and it is all in the very small crevices that I can't quite totally...

Digging!

How can I make my dog stop digging in the backyard? We rent and share the yard with our landlords who also have dogs. We know that their dog digs but she is a small dog who can't do much damage. My border collie/lab mix, however, can really go for it. We don't leave her alone outside much and...
