skittish dog

Our dog Libby is 3. She is a Silky Terrier. All of a sudden she has become very skittish about things. Like thunderstorms, vacume cleaner, and and some other big things. Does anybody have any suggestions on what we should do to help her stop doing all these things? Thanks
