Hi everyone! I`m one of those crazy people who does everything for dogs and not just in my country (Latvia) but all around the world. I think everyone have heard about that in china, korea, etc. dogs meat is just like any other meat, lots of people have tried to fight it and force the governments do something in this case.
Philippines too is one of those countries where dogs meat is quite popular but almost any of world associations doesn`t make any sign on it, maybe because philippines doesn`t play such a big role in world like China and Korea does.
The dogs are brutaly killed - riped on and gutted while they are still alive and conscious. Since 1998 it`s illegal but because of a lack of enforcement, live dogs and dog meat are sold openly in the market place and restaurants. The government doesn`t make any sign on it. Altought vast majority of Filipinos don#%92t consume dogs, the lucrative trade in dog meat is becoming more prevalent, especially in the north of the Philippines in the region surrounding Baguio City.
