This has been going on for about a year with my 2 year old german shorthair and boarder collie mix. It usually happens outside but not always and begins with him eatting grass. Soon after he pukes and then staggers for a little then flops over. In the beginning he just kind of laid there stiff but now...

rabies questions
Posted to: News & Entertainment
Can you get rabies from superficial scratches (those that do not bleed and do not come into contact with possible infected saliva)? How effective is the rabies vaccine in dogs? Will the first shot already provide good immunity against the disease? In addition, why do you need to re-vaccinate every three...

Worst Feeling EVER
Posted to: News & Entertainment
I took Sierra to get her rabies booster this morning. I had to wait in the waiting area for about 3 minutes, so I was sitting on a chair by the door. I was sitting for about a minute when a lady emerged from the back room area, crying so bad, clutching a medium-sized worn out red collar, with the...

Marking!
Posted to: Training & Behavior
Marley has most recently taken to lifting his leg as we walk by stuff and marking it. Today he did it as we walked out of the door of training class...I was so embarassed! I don't want to encourage this type of behavior. Can he be trained not to do this? What do I do to stop it? Help!

He sits and licks his paws, he will lick the bed cover, he will lick the floor, he will lick the couch, heck, he will even just lick...

Hello from Ontario! I have three Siberian huskies named Mochi, Tiku and Kena. We enjoy hiking, bikejoring, and we hope to get into sledding this winter. Tracheal collapse

When I first got Lilly, our mini schnauzer, she was only 8 weeks old (if that) and had kennel cough from being in the shelter. She coughed and sneezed for about 2 weeks (she was on meds) and then it seemed to clear up, mostly. She would cough every now and again, like she was clearing her throat, but...

What would you guys think if someone new came to this board to talk and they had a cockapoo? I mean all the akc breeds were regular dogs before they became purebreds. A long time ago people breed dogs together to get a certian trait they were looking for. the Australian Cattle Dog was developed by a...
