Er...shipping how? The only safe (and legal) way to ship small animals is via an airline (usually continental, since they're the safest and one of the only ones who actually hae the interest of the animals in mind) and that is INCREDIBLY time consuming, expensive, and stressful for the animal. I shipped a group of 6 week old rat babies to two adopters all the way to Providence, RI and it's not something that breeders do often, for good reason. It takesn a couple of weeks of planning to get everything going...you have to book the flight, buy a Taconic crate (the only safe/airline approved crate to ship small animals in) online and have it shipped to you, then you'll have to pick a flight that corresponds with a time that the adopter will be able to pick the animal up at the cargo building of the airport...if there is ONE little delay anywhere on route, they'll cancel your flight and make you do it all over again...not to mention, shipping itself costs 120 bucks, and I believe that price has gone up since I've shipped anyone. It's a really long, expensive, stressfull process...and hard on the animal too.
If your friend knows how to ship and really is willing to go through the expense and everything else involved, that's great...just know it isn't as simple as sticking them in a box and dropping them off at the post office.
