Dog suddenly wants to eat more, also throwing up

My dog, a 2 year old pug/shih tzu mix, seems to be starving all the time suddenly. I normally feed 1/2 a cup twice a day of potato and duck for allergies......but all of a sudden he's starving and drives me crazy until I feed him a little more. He's also been very demanding when we are eating...

Im getting a bloodhound and my biggest fear is bloat. She is 1 year old and already 90 lbs. Im sure she will grow more which increases the risks more. I was using Swheat scoop with much success and like the organic/ safe litters. I was looking into trying World's Best cat litter when I stumbled upon a forum and posts of people who use chicken laying crumbles (which is corn also) rather than WBCL with the same results at a fraction of the cost....
