Our poodle, MOE, is approximately 1.5 years old the vet says. This is our first dog. We got him from my in-laws who rescued him from a client that kept him caged in a super small cage 24/7. He was emaciated and covered in poop. Until we could get to my in-laws to pick him up, he was an outside dog. ...

Molly is Here!

Just a quick post & run. Molly is my foster child. Currently she's making it hard to type because she's in my lap. She's such a snuggle bunny. This is what you see in the dictionary when you look up "Sweet". [link http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k92/lucytj/DSCN0802...

Allergy Suppliments?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I've been looking through the allergy related posts for suppliment ideas. Gracie has contact allergies to some sort of plant outside, it could even possibly be grass. I have her on 3v caps liquid (Fish, Safflower & Borage Seed Oil) which has reduced her reactions by half, but I was still wondering...

Mr 3 yr old lab started acting strange this afternoon. She is not being her usual lab self: following me everywhere, coming for treats, playing with my other lab.... She's very reluctant to walk anywhere and when she does she's doing it with her tail between her legs and will sit down next to...

Stomach Flu?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Ella had diarrhea and was vomiting, so I took her to the vet and they diagnosed her with the stomach flu. They gave me medicine to give her, and she seems to be getting back to her normal, playful self. I never knew that dogs could get the stomach flu. Has anyone else had this experience?

Gray gums w/no other symptoms?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
On Thursday night, my 11 year old chow's lower front gums became swollen and grayish colored. For a couple days prior, she'd been licking her paws a lot, and we think maybe that caused some bacteria to get into her mouth. Only the lower front part is affected, and she doesn't seem to experience...
