Hi Guys! I just brought home my mini schnauzer this past weekend. He's 8 weeks old and doggy door trained. I am trying to train him indoors using doggy pee pads. I live in a loft and I don't want to take him outside yet to do his business until he gets all his shots or at least his second...

First bite...
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
We adopted this lab-pit (mostly lab, really) mix 2 years ago... Since then, she's growled at strangers, but when she visits with them a few times, she licks their hands, will roll on her belly...and play with them without biting or nipping, etc. In other words, her aggression never got out...

Painful Ear!
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
It appears that Cyrus has scratched his ear hard enough to leave a small cut. It looks superficial, not bleeding profusely or anything. We have prevented him from scratching it any more today...I was just wondering if he needs to see the vet about it, or will it heal up on its own? I don't believe...

It have been 2 weeks that we have had Quicey and when we got him, he was very playful and like to nibble on your legs and feet. Now Quicey is 8 weeks and his nibbles are turning into bites. I posted somthing like this before and was told to put a toy in his mouth when he does that. I DO! He plays with...

Posted to:

I took the kitten to my vet this afternoon. First of all.....it is a BOY!! He has been given wormer, flea pill, and kitten shots. He is staying the night to be neutered in the morning. The vet says that he is about 8 weeks old. My vet does pediatric neutering. She promised that the kitten will be fine...

I don't know if anyone has read my other post, but for those that haven't, Onyx is in heat. And I have been trying to find out how long it will last. Some threads on here say 2 weeks, some say 3, one says I have to be careful for a full month afterwards and yet another says she can actually get...

Puppy fear aggression
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Hi everyone, I have a 4 month old  uppy that is definitely showing signs of fear aggression toward other dogs. When he gets around unfamiliar dogs, he will bark, curl his lip, charge and try to bite them. Not good! He is obviously scared because his tail is between his legs and his ears...

Finally Gained Weight - Now What?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
We adoped Odie a little over a year ago. We took him in for a vet check right away. The vet said she would like to see him gain about 5 pounds. I think, at that time, he weighed 63 pounds. Odie has never been much of an eater. He can take it or leave it. It doesn't matter to him. We had trouble...
