Box Tops for Education
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Well, the school year is upon us, and I have a huge favor to ask of those i-doggers who have no kids or whose kids' school does not participate in Box Tops. Our school collects Box Top for Education. They look like this: and are on many labels of products many use every day like Kleenex, Zip Lock...

Hairballs and diarrhea
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Please pardon this long post. Willie -- new golden puppy. Sixteen weeks old. Diarrhea about five days after moving in. The vet prescribed Albon for possible coccidia and heavy bacterial growth in the intestine. Problem cleared up immediately. Was on Albon for two weeks. Three days after being taken...

My latest rant
Posted to:
Rescue & Help
I was reading the Oregonian today and the sports page (which I NEVER read) had an article which caught my eye. It is about Zach Randolph, a Trail Blazer who is in hot water for some alleged shenanigans. While I agree with almost all of it, one line caught my eye. Below is my letter: I read with interest...

Everybody Powwow! Brag on Sioux
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Well, today was a powwow day, and we decided to take Sioux. My BF came too, so he held her while my friends and I danced. She was great. One time, a couple of barks at a male dancer who was carrying a rattle LOL, but he came over later and made friends - he saw her barking at him while he was dancing...

What breed?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Cute isn't she? [ ] From the SPCA, 4yrs old. They say German Sherperd cross, which I can see. But the colours don't match up, so I was wondering what breed she could be mixed with.. Going to call about her tomorrow, maybe this time she'll be in unlike the cute deaf great dane. If she's...

moved to city from country
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
So, my three year old Golden Retriever, Roxie, just moved with me to the city. She stayed with my parents last year but now that I can have her in my new apartment she's moved with me. She's always been scared of everything, very easily spooked. As you can guess walking her is very difficult...

Rotating Raw and Kibble

Has anyone tried the Nature's Variety Raw Instinct Kibble? I'd like to find a good grain-free kibble for variety and to use when traveling.

can "allergy formula" make her itch?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Well, Bogey's been on NB Duck and Potato for 2-1/2 days. I got home from work last night and her feet and toes were soaking wet and red - she'd been chewing and gnawing. But, this food says is an "allergy formula", but I supposed she could be allergic to something? But, would it not...

Another Clavamox question...
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
The Vet prescribed Clavamox for Charlie because of a large scab on his paw. He has been on it for about 5 days. After just the first day, he started to show signs of having a loss of appetite by sniffing his food and nibbling at it instead of devouring it like he usually does. Yesterday he had some diarrhea...

wasp bite
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
At least, I think it was a wasp; it might have been a yellow jacket. Winnie stepped on it and I think she must have gotten the stinger in her foot because she limped and cried and wouldn't let me touch it. Then she rubbed it around in mud and now she's still limping a bit, but she did let...

Jumping Up

Whenever strange people come into the house...Annie goes crazy. She loves to meet new people, but usually they are not too excited to meet her because she jumps all over them and usually scratches their arms up unintentionally. This is a problem because now many people do not like to be in the same room...
