• Everybody Powwow! Brag on Sioux spiritdogs Posted : 8/26/2006 5:24:05 PM Well, today was a powwow day, and we decided to take Sioux.  My BF came too, so he held her while my friends and I danced.  She was great.  One time, a couple of barks at a male dancer who was carrying a rattle LOL, but he came over later and made friends - he saw her barking at him while he was dancing and made it a point to come by to ask if he could pat her and let her know he wasn't scary.  She's been before, so the drum and loudspeakers aren't a big deal.  Friends of mine were there, so she had lots of attention all day, and got pumpkin ice cream (the powwow is held in a city park that has a restaurant), and fry bread.  She really enjoyed being dog of the day. And I really loved having everyone tell me how well behaved (and soft) she was. With funnel cake ( because they squeeze the dough out of a baker's funnel) you get a topping of confectioner's sugar.
