YAY!!! Only 4 more days!!!

I am so excited!!! On Friday, DH is off until the end of September. I show him the ropes of taking the kids to school, get food for the house, and pack my truck. Early Saturday morning I am outta here for 16 days!!! I am heading to Illinois to visit my parents and REST!! For 16 days, I do not have to answer to anybody but myself. I do not have to worry about making dinners, lunches, boo-boos, getting kids ready for school, etc... I have a stack of books from the library and new cd's for my road trip.

I haven't had a vacation in over 2 years. I haven't had a vacation without kids in 4 years. I am so excited!!! My husband has his work cut out for him with taking care of 5 animals and 4 kids. I know he will do great.

It sounds wonderful. Just make sure you say hi once in a while.

Have a great trip. This will be a real eye-opener for DH. He'll have a whole new appreciation for what you've been doing. []

Yes it will be!! He has been gone a total of 9 months over the past 2 years. He has never had to watch all 4 kids longer than an afternoon. I am really looking forward to just being able to read, write, sleep or watch tv without being interrupted every 5 minutes.
