Sometimes love requires calming breaths...

A couple of hours ago I take my medication and am starting to feel groggy when DH comes downstairs and asks me if I want to go to the store. I'm thinking he means the little one down the road so I ask why, and he tells me he wants to go to the big one about 20 mins drive away to look for a new phone...

Interesting Website

The site is called Dog Star Daily, and its contributors are a wonderful group of people, some names who I know very well, other names whom I am coming to know by learning more about their ways. It includes such people as Ian Dunbar, Kelly Dunbar, Nick Dodman, Nicole Wilde, Trish King, and others. For...

Can a dog be a vegetarian?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Yes they can! Mugsey my chihuahua was sick last year and was put onto a bland diet by vet. Now he eats rice and beans with a little boiled chicken breast! He loves it! Turns his nose up at burger even! always check with your vet first. The important thing is to make sure they have a balanced diet of...

Chicken Jerky - not from China?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Does anyone know if there is a company that makes chicken jerky not manufactured in China? I know I can make my own, but sometimes I just don't have the time to do it. Plus I have to watch it the whole time because my cats try to pull the oven open for it. They haven't suceeded, but that is definately...

How Much is That Doggie in the Window?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
So tonight the BF, Kayla, and me took a trip to the mall in Marlboro. They have a Debby's PetLand and I said "eh what the heck I'll stop in to 'check up' on them" (i'm waiting for a perfect opportunity to just destroy them...) I really wish I didn't go in there.....

Funny How things Work out
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
We have a small Beagle that lives across the street from our home. I never saw him out for a walk or any kind of exercise. He basically sat at the side step (behind a chain link fence0 and barked. This summer he started getting out and would run around the neighbours' yards. Sometimes the owner would...

What breed is this dog?
Posted to:
Choosing A Dog
I'm really sorry to bother you all with this silly question, but I have fallen in love with the dog in this picture and would love to own one like this. Does anyone have any idea as to what sort of mix this dog could be? My apologies if I posted this in the wrong area. I'm new to forums.

Another Question on Tear Staining
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
This is a continuation of the Angel Eyes thread. I just noticed that the multi vitamin that I give my dogs contains brewers yeast. Since yeast can be a culprit of staining, could this contribute to the stains? I received the Angel Eyes yesterday and mixed it in with her yogurt and she ate it. The funny...

WDJ requires full disclosure!

Just got the most recent issue of WDJ and it included the top dry foods list. This year they dropped companies from the list who wouldn't respond when asked where their food is manufactured - kudos to them! I thought it was very interesting to see where all the food are made and by whom. Any other...
